About Us

At The Bay Area Cheese School, our mission is simple: to help people fall in love with cheese — not through tests or titles, but through taste, story, and connection.

While we are not currently ACS Certified Cheese Professionals®, our educators and collaborators bring years of hands-on experience in cheese, wine, and hospitality. We’ve learned our craft the same way the best chefs and winemakers do — by working alongside incredible makers, tasting deeply, and celebrating the people and places that make California cheese so extraordinary.

We believe that learning about cheese should feel joyful and inclusive, not intimidating. Our “school” isn’t about earning credentials — it’s about discovering flavor, exploring terroir, and connecting with the vibrant community of producers who shape the Bay Area’s cheese culture.

We regularly collaborate with Certified Cheese Professionals®, local creameries, and California artisans to ensure our guests learn directly from industry experts. Together, we celebrate the full spectrum of cheese knowledge — from farm to rind to board.

Because in our view, the palate is the best classroom there is. 🧀✨
